After more chatter, one cop took advantage of a pause in the banter.

“You guys read about the newspaper publisher that got wiped away in Central City? That was old time Chicago style!”

“When those SOBs do it like that, they’re tellin’ others that they mean business. The whole thing could have been done with one close-up shot, real quiet-like. No, they were making a statement.”
